Entertainment Weekly gave it an "A-" today which is very good for that mag. In fact every line praised the Coen Bros. so I wasn't sure why an "A-" instead of an "A" but maybe I'm splittin' hairs here.

Thanks TommyShag!

I'm just in the process of adding all of these to the Reviews section.

Just to show it's not all straight A's here's a dissenting voice;

Rosenbaum's pretty well respected, but some of his ideas here are a bit wack to say the least.

Rosenbaum is a HERETIC! :wink:

I've just updated the reviews page with my own review and also that of a reader of this little ole site.

Why not join him and email me YOUR review? youknowforkids@gmail.com

Paul.

rosenbaum seems to have a bias towards the subject matter more than anything, and tries (as always) to identify with why people write about stuff like this. usually i'd say that he reads to much into movies, but on this one i think he hasn't looked into it enough. he seems under the impression that the coens just made a lavish gorefest, and no one will care about the rest, but the film is so much more than that.

in short...i disagree with rosenbaum.
