The Fargo page contains the trivia item that the Coens like to re-use the name "Gunderson," and to this effect it claims that Bunny Lebowski's maiden name was Gunderson. It says DaFino says "The Gundersons, y'know, wandering daughter job." WRONG! DaFino refers to the KNUDSENS, NOT the Gundersons.

Also, it claims Jerry needs the ransom money to finance a new business venture. I disagree; there is no evidence for this in the movie. Rather, I think the business venture and the kidnapping are both aimed at getting money for some other unidentified reason ("Personal matters, that needn't, ah...")

You're right about the Gunderson/Knudsen affair. It should say that in early versions of the script it was Gunderson. I will alter this next update.

And about the synopsis of the movie which contains your other (debatable) error, I didn't write that, it comes verbatim from the back of the video/DVD.

If Walter would say "fuckin' amateurs" he'd be wrong because I am just one so "fuckin' amateur" would be more accurate.

Hmm, that's very interesting. Y'know, I've often thought the Coens must not have artistic control over their DVD packaging, because I found the packaging of the Big Lebowski suspect too.

For instance, the first DVD release says on the back that The Dude's rug "really made the room 'hang together'." Of course, any true achiever knows that the Dude's rug "really TIED the room together. Oh well.

Anyway, LOVE the website. I would build a temple to the Coens if I had the money!
