. . .absolutely loves this movie and I am proud to have been the one to expose her to the Coen Brothers.

It was on TV one night and she happened to flip to it about 40 minutes in. I asked if she had ever seen it and she said no. I said turn it off now, you cannot just come into it for your first time. A couple of weeks later I bought the DVD and made a night of it.

To this day it is one of her favorite movies. We compete with each other quoting lines in character. She does a great Marge impression and my Jerry voice is not half bad. It's crazy, we'll do the whole "I'm Cooperating here!" scene.

Did I say crazy? It's also a little sad and geeky!

Heh! I'd like to be a fly on the wall at your house! Sounds great.

Fargo was the movie that really kicked my love of the Coens off (although I'd already seen Miller's Crossing, Blood Simple and Raising Arizona I didn't connect them all up). For this reason I will always adore Fargo.

What I like most about it is watching it with someone who hasn't seen it before. It's startling how much I laugh and they do not! I remember the first time I saw it I didn't really find it funny. The humour kind of comes out with each viewing. Also the whole, this is a true story, thing at the start throws you a curve ball first time round and you kind of think you SHOULDN'T laugh.
