Loved it.

Chabon's writing is amazing. He has such a way with words. I'm beyond envious. He says things like "he endangered a chair" when a fat bloke sits down- I LOVE that.

Anyhoo, you're probably wondering how suited to the Coens it is, well it is VERY suited to them. Not only are they Jewish but the material is laced with black humour. However, I cannot see how the movie can be made and carry all of the wit and style with it without it relying heavily on voice over.

A great book I cannot recommend it enough. I now want to pick up more Chabon novels, next in my queue is his Pulitzer prize winning Cavalier and Clay.

I read (and love love loved) Cavalier and Clay, so much so that I made my brainy comic friend read it too -- and she was also a big fan.

We're both waiting for this one expectantly. (I've got the book on my to-buy list, but it'll probably be at least till the movie's in production before I get around to it.)
