Miller's Crossing is my favorite Coen Brothers movie.

It took me 4 or 5 viewings to fully grasp this movie. I knew it was brilliant from the get-go, but all of the little things didn't sink in for a while. Heck, I still find something new to love about MC every time I watch it.

How many times have you seen it and what keeps bringing you back to it?

Heh! I'm with you!

It's still quite difficult to follow entirely. You should try explaining the plot to someone! Argh! I always say, "basically it's about ethics"

A truly, truly brilliant movie. All bias aside it is a classic.

This is the first Coen movie I saw as an adult, certainly. I think Raising Arizona may have been EVERYONE'S first exposure, but I was lucky enough to catch a marathon in '97 at the University theater (all up to that point except Hudsucker, which I had to seek out myself) and, despite the embarrassment of riches, ever since that magical week I've had a soft spot for this film.

Also, whenever I use the word "ethics" I never pronounce the H. Gotta love Polito.

TommyShag... so wierd... I had the exact same experience. I think this is their masterpiece, albeit underrated.

With every viewing Miller's Crossing just gets better and better...

Seen now over a dozen times. I don't revisit too many other movies like that. Okay maybe Barton Fink and Fargo, but I swear that's it. Okay, maybe Blood Simple too... Raising Arizona... Ah, hell... The Big Lebowski too.. but I swear that's it...

Its a smart play for anyone who chooses to watch MC.
Dunno how many times i've seen it....I know its a lot (...not a parking lot!)
The dialogue and complexities mean the film stays enjoyable every time I put it on.
 (I wish there was an emoticon with a hat!!)
